On 10 October College bandh– Said NSUI President

Indore: National Student Union of India (NSUI) has given a call for bandh of all colleges on October 10 to protest alleged reluctance of DAVV officials to probing appointment of Varsha Sharma as university student council president. NSUI district president Vipin Wankhede said that the officials of DAVV are indifferent to the matter.

“We throng the university campus daily, hoping that the officials will take some action but all efforts go in vain. They have stopped taking my calls. We will call an all college bandh on October 10,” said Wankhede. Varsha Shrama, who was sworn in as the new university president on September 29, landed into a controversy due to her academic documents.

Vice Chancellor PK Mishra instructed the grievance panel of the student union polls to conduct a probe and verify the documents submitted by Varsha. But the committee refused to do so, claiming that the grievance cell stood dissolved soon after the elections. Since then no development has taken on this front from the Varsity’s side.
