1st Global Cerebral Palsy Day

In a few months from now, 27-year-old Sumanth Vasuki will walk out of IIM-Indore with the prestigious degree and an IIM tag. Nothing new, you may say. But for hundreds of youths in India who aim to get this coveted degree, Sumanth is an inspiration because he suffers from cerebral palsy.

With 7 out of 1 lakh children in India and 2 out of 1 lakh children in Karnataka suffering from cerebral palsy, awareness is low. “But if the government comes out with better policies and with enough support, children like me will have a bright future,” Sumanth told.
