Students stage protest at Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya :Delay in results

Miffed over the delay in results and discrepancies in mark allotment in examinations, hundreds of students thronged the administrative campus of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) with their complaints on Tuesday, resulting in a standstill for few hours in the morning.
Complaining poor marks in the first professional of Bachelor of Dental Surgery course in three different private colleges, students alleged that the college has deliberately failed candidates with two to four marks. Accepting the complaints of students, vice chancellor Dr D.P Singh ordered a joint committee, that included college faculty and members of varsity examination committee, to look into the matter and submit its report within five days. “The committee will review the copies and marks allotted against the answers written and if discrepancies are found rechecking will be done. Action will be initiated against the teachers who checked the copies,” said Singh while hearing the complaints.
