Mughal Garden: opening for Visitors on Feb 15

The magnificent floral beauty of Mughal Gardens of Rashtrapati Bhavan will open for the visitors on February 15. It will be open for the public after President Pranab Mukherjee inaugurates ‘Udyanotsav’ on Friday.
As per the media reports, the garden latest theme has a white and yellow with dahlias being given the pride of place. An 8-feet floral wall has been created all around the circular garden which will attract the attention of the visitors. A wide range of exotic lilies have been planted in abundance. Different types of carpets will be added in its beauty.
Reports state that the special duty officer (horticulture), Prakash Semwal said that the flowers which are used are lively in nature. They also mentioned that due to inclement weather, they are avoiding tulips this time. After the inauguration of ‘Udyanotsav’ it will be open from February 16 to March 17, except Mondays for the public. The timings will be from 12:30pm till 4pm in the evening.
The visitors will take the entry and exit from gate number 35 of President Estate. Eatables and other accessories like cameras, radio, cell phones, ladies purses are not allowed in the garden.
Exclusively, the garden will open on special days for farmers, differentially abled and visually challenged.
