India, UK ink two education MoUs

India and United Kingdom signed two MoUs to promote development of community colleges and implementation of school leadership programme. The MOUs were signed by HRD minister of state Jitin Prasada and UK’s minister for universities and science David Willetts on Wednesday.
The two sides also discussed the ways and means to strengthen the education sector. Prasada noted that British PM David Cameron’s initiative would increase the number of the Indian students getting admission in the UK. He also suggested that the English proficiency test of Indian students usually valid for two years should be enhanced to five years or more.
