Virtual classes in govt schools in Madhya Pradesh

Following the footsteps of many private schools, the school education department is planning to introduce smart classrooms in the higher secondary government schools for which it has sought information from the districts to launch the pilot project in selected schools.
The department plans to make use of State Wide Area Network (SWAN) technology for equipping classrooms with latest video conferencing techniques through which experts of various subjects will deliver lectures through any corner of the state which can be learnt by the students of the smart classrooms.
“Expert teachers of science, mathematics and other subjects will deliver lectures in these virtual classrooms which will be beneficial for children as it facilitates better learning,” stated school education commissioner Rashmi Arun Sharma in her letter to district programme coordinators.
