400 MW power for State from 2014

A medium-term agreement for purchase of 400 MW power was signed between MP Power Management Company Limited and P.T.C.
As per the agreement, the state will get 400 MW power from October this year to March 2014. The agreement was signed by Executive Director (I.P.C) of MP Power Management Company Limited Rajesh Mehta and P.T.C. Director Finance Deepak Amitabh. Secretary Energy Mohammad Sulaiman and MP Power Management Company Managing Director Manu Shrivastava were especially present on the occasion.
Manu Shrivastava informed that 400 MW power will be received round-the-clock and uninterruptedly through P.T.C. for continuous in Madhya Pradesh from October 2012 to March 2014. He said that this power will be received at minimum tariff on the basis of competitive bidding. This power will be specially helpful in reducing gap between demand and supply in the state.
