Facebook becomes duping tool for DAVV’s IIPS alumnus

An alumnus of DAVV’s International Institute of Professional Studies (IIPS) has allegedly duped many of Institutes ex-students by collecting money from them in name of a fake association he has created under varsity’s banner on social networking site Facebook.
The alumnus, Mahesh Singh Rathore, created a fake association – ‘IIPS alumni association’ on Facebook and invited around 2000 ex-students of the institute to an alumni meet on Dec 23 at Eden Garden near Dewas.
The fraud came to light when he sent an invite for the party to a student of IIPS and former university secretary Vijay Mulchandani. “I received a request to join the meet on Dec 23. But our official meet is scheduled in the institute campus on Dec 29. When I checked all the posts, I discovered that Mahesh Singh Rathore, for whom Raj Bhavan had asked DAVV to lodge a police complaint two years back, was administrator of the page on the social networking site,” said Mulchandani.
